Make a Plaid Digital Paper |

1) Open a new file 12 x 12 inches (or the size you want your paper to be), 300 dpi with a transparent background. Open a picture that you wish to scrap.

2) Select the Single Column Marquee Tool.

2) Drag out a selection in an area of your picture that has interesting colours.
|
|
|
3) Copy the selection: Edit>Copy. Select the 12 x 12 file and paste the selection. Edit>Paste.
4) Select Move Tool. Stretch the small sliver out over the whole document.

5) Duplicate the layer. (Ctrl J). Rotate the new layer 90 degrees. (Edit>Transform>>Rotate CW 90)

6) Lower the opacity on the top layer until you are pleased with plaid. You can also change the blend modes to achieve different looks. |

7) Flatten your layers. Layers>Flatten Image. Your paper is finished!
You now have a paper that co ordinates with your picture exactly. This technique is really fun so experiment with your pictures!
